Dehradun, July 17: In response to a recent viral video showing a woman blogger proposing to her boyfriend at the Kedarnath Temple, authorities have introduced strict measures prohibiting devotees from taking photographs and videos within the temple premises.
The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has prominently displayed signs across the temple complex, stating, “Do not enter the temple premises with mobile phones; any kind of photography and videography is strictly prohibited inside the temple, and you are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.”
In addition to the mobile phone and photography ban, the temple administration has also urged visitors to dress modestly and refrain from setting up tents or camps in the temple vicinity. The notice further warns that legal action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the regulations.
Ajendra Ajay, President of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, emphasized that religious spaces adhere to a specific belief system, and devotees should demonstrate respect for these customs and traditions.
