RISHIKESH : Registration for the Kedarnath yatra has been suspended in Rishikesh and Haridwar until April 30 due to heavy snowfall and rain in the Garhwal Himalayas, according to officials. The Kedarnath Dham will open to the public on Tuesday, and the government will review weather conditions before deciding on the future of the yatra. The authorities have urged pilgrims to check the weather forecast and bring warm clothing, as the snow on the footpaths is causing difficulties for clearance operations. Medical arrangements have been made, and the government is committed to ensuring smooth travel for pilgrims. The Badrinath Dham will open on April 27, while registrations for the other three dhams are currently underway. Over 16 lakh people from India and abroad have registered for the Chardham Yatra so far.
