SRINAGAR, Apr 6: Police arrest Lashkar-e-Taiba terror associate with live grenade and AK-47 bullets in Bandipora, J&K
On Wednesday, security forces arrested a terror associate linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) near Canal Road Aloosa Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir. The individual was found in possession of one live Chinese grenade and 12 live AK-47 bullets. The operation was conducted jointly by Bandipora police, the 26th Assam Rifles, and the third Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at Bandipora police station, and further investigation is currently underway.
This latest arrest highlights the ongoing efforts by security forces to combat terrorism in the region. The LeT has been responsible for several attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in the past, and the authorities are working to prevent any further incidents.
