Jammu, September 8th: On Friday, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH 44) remained open for the smooth passage of both Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) and heavy vehicles. However, traffic flow experienced delays due to the breakdown of several heavy vehicles and congestion along certain sections, notably Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Ramban, and other points between the Nashri and Banihal sectors of the highway.
The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police Department issued an advisory stating that, “Given favorable weather conditions, LMVs and heavy vehicles will be permitted to travel in both directions after a comprehensive assessment of the road and traffic conditions on National Highway-44 on Saturday.”
