Srinagar, July 06 : The Srinagar Police has denied a media report claiming that 14 people were arrested for not standing up during the national anthem at a function held in June, which was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. However, the police clarified that 12 individuals have been bound down for good behavior under sections 107/151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). In a tweet, the Srinagar Police labeled the news as completely false and reiterated that only 12 individuals have been generally bound down for their conduct.
