Nisha Choudhary, Co-founder of a mindset training startup named Loser’s Mindset from Rajasthan, has taken a bold step to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients.
She recently cut her hair, which she had been growing for the past four years, to donate it to an NGO that creates wigs for those affected by cancer.
Choudhary’s journey of growing her hair was not just a physical transformation but an emotional one as well. She was inspired by the courage of those who face cancer head-on and the strength of their loved ones who support them. Every time she was tempted to cut her hair, she reminded herself of the end goal – to bring comfort and hope to someone affected by cancer.
For Nisha, growing her hair was a way to express herself and showcase her love for long, flowing locks. However, after witnessing the struggles of cancer patients who lose their hair due to treatment, she decided to take a bold step and donate her hair to an NGO named “Cope with Cancer” based in Mumbai.
The decision was not an easy one for Nisha, who had always kept long hair and did not remember when she last had hair as short as neck length. She had to overcome her emotional attachment to her hair and focus on the bigger picture of helping others. But the decision also aligned with the mindset training principles of her startup, which encourages individuals to challenge their comfort zones and embrace new experiences. By sharing her personal journey of giving back, Choudhary hopes to inspire others to think beyond themselves and make a difference in the lives of others.
Choudhary’s hair donation is not just an act of kindness but also an opportunity to spread awareness about the impact of hair donation and encourage others to get involved. Losing one’s hair is often a harsh side effect of cancer treatment, and something as simple as a wig can bring comfort and help boost self-confidence.
“I am not just donating my hair, I am donating a piece of myself in hopes of bringing hope to someone in need,” says Choudhary. “Through our startup, we believe in the power of breaking comfort zone and achieving a strong mindset. This act of kindness is just one way of putting those beliefs into action.”
Choudhary’s hair donation has been received with praise and admiration from both the startup community and the wider public. This cause is a shining example of how small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect and inspire change. Nisha’s journey serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for all those who seek to make a difference in the world.
