Rajouri/Jammu, June 15 : Unfortunate road accidents occurred in Rajouri and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving four individuals injured, according to local authorities. In Rajouri district, two women identified as Shah Jahan (40) and Shahnaz Akhtar (35) lost their lives when the car they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the Targain area of Budhal around 7:30 am. Additionally, a 10-month-old girl and two others sustained injuries and were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where their condition is reported to be serious.
In a separate incident in Kishtwar district, a private car veered off Sinthan top after the driver lost control while navigating a blind curve on the mountainous road at approximately 7:45 am. Tragically, Latief Ahmad Malik, a resident of Anantnag district, succumbed to his injuries, while his co-passenger Ilyas Ahmad Wani sustained critical injuries. The vehicle was en route from Anantnag district to Kishtwar at the time of the accident, as stated by the official. Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incidents to ascertain the causes and circumstances surrounding these unfortunate accidents.
