Srinagar, October 16: The Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir has forecasted the possibility of light to moderate rain and snow occurring in scattered areas of Jammu and Kashmir. A spokesperson from the local weather station stated, “Light to Moderate Rain/Snow (over higher reaches) is very likely at scattered places in J&K.”
The spokesperson also reported intermittent rain and snowfall over higher reaches in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
In addition to the existing conditions, the MeT spokesperson has predicted light rain and snowfall over higher reaches in scattered locations.
The statement also highlighted that there will be a gradual improvement in weather conditions commencing from Wednesday.
The weather station further issued advice for farmers to postpone their crop harvesting activities until the 17th.
Additionally, there is a possibility of temporary traffic disruptions at vulnerable locations like Zojila, Mugal Road, Sinthantop, Sadnatop, etc., due to the current weather conditions.
