Jammu, May 3 : Preparations are currently underway for the installation of a ballastless track on the Katra-Banihal railway line in India. This track will provide a smoother and more comfortable ride for passengers, as well as reducing the need for maintenance. The process involves the use of machines that will lay the tracks, along with additional measures to ensure the track is level and stable. According to reports, this will be the first time that a ballastless track is installed in India for a railway line in a hilly region.
