Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman participated in a panel discussion on “Empowering Women as Entrepreneurs and Leaders” in Washington DC, along with David Malpass, President of the World Bank Group, and David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs. During the discussion, Sitharaman outlined several initiatives taken by the Indian government to empower women, enhance their economic independence, and improve their outcomes. World Bank President David Malpass pledged to focus more on women’s empowerment, citing the potential for economic gains for all countries.
